What does the company doctor do?

The company doctor is there for your health at work. He or she helps you if you have questions about your work, about hazards, or about health problems.

You should know this:

• The company doctor protects your health and checks whether your work is safe and whether it can endanger your health.
• He or she advises you confidentially and you can talk about your health. He or she may not pass anything on to the company without your consent.
• If your work is physically demanding or dangerous, he or she examines you to protect you. These examinations are not a test but serve your safety.
• If you experience complaints from work, he or she can advise you and recommend support.
• The company doctor works with occupational safety specialists. Together, they ensure that your workplace remains safe.
