How often must (digital) training sessions be conducted?

(Digital) training sessions must generally take place once a year. This is required by occupational safety. In cases of special hazards or changes, training sessions may also be necessary more frequently. For trainees, training sessions are mandatory every six months.

You should know this:

Once a year is mandatory:You must be trained at least once a year. This also applies to digital training sessions.

You need an additional training session for new tasks:If you use a new machine or take on a new task, you will receive an additional training session.

There may be further training sessions in case of accidents or problems:If something has happened or an error is noticed, your employer may conduct an additional training session to ensure everyone works safely.

The training must be understandable:You have the right to have everything explained in simple language. You may ask questions at any time.

You must confirm your participation:At the end of the training session, you must confirm that you have understood the training. If you have not understood something, ask before confirming the training – your signature may be required. This is the only way your employer knows that you understand how to work safely.
